WaitForFix

Real-time gaze contingency, wait for fixation: This program is designed to demonstrate how to perform real-time gaze contingency using an Eyelink eye-tracker with E-Prime controlling stimulus presentation. The participant is presented with a fixation cross which s/he must fixate for a consecutive 2 seconds before the experiment will continue (which it does so automatically following sufficient fixation duration). The experiment is fully modifiable; the user can designate where the participant must fixate, for how long, and the dimensions of the interest area. Moreover, the experiment works seamlessly with the Eyelink Data Viewer software. Interest areas are automatically exported to the gaze data file, and the data file is automatically named according to the experiment’s name, and enumerated with the subject number of your participant. WaitForFix_Multiple

 Real-time gaze contingency, multiple object tracking: This file will demonstrate how to perform real-time gaze contingency on multiple objects simultaneously (using an Eyelink eye-tracker and E-Prime for stimulus presentation). The participant is presented with three objects which s/he must fixate for 2 seconds each. Once each object has been fixated for long enough, its border will change from red to green, signaling that the requirement has been met. Once each of the borders have changed, the subject will receive feedback indicating that they may proceed with the rest of the trial. Like the example above, this file works seamlessly with the Eyelink Data Viewer software, with automatic export of interest areas and custom gaze data file naming.
