Fall, 2025: Just received the Primarius Academicus Socius<\/em> recognition in the mail from the University of P\u00e9cs (in Hungary)<\/a>. It is given for \u201coutstanding collaborative scientific achievements,\u201d by researchers \u201cwho attained international research excellence by reaching a scientific impact in the global top 10%\u201d while collaborating with researchers at the University of P\u00e9cs. I’m honored to receive this, and extremely grateful for the fruitful (ongoing!) research collaborations with the exceptional Dr Andras Zsido<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>

This semester (Spring, 2023) I was honored with an award from the NMSU<\/a> Teaching Academy<\/a> for Outstanding Workshop<\/em>. In September of this year, I was recognized with a Special Act Award<\/em> by the National Science Foundation in recognition of extra-programmatic activities I was engaged in during my first year as a rotating Program Director.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n

In the fall of 2017, I was selected by the Association for Psychological Science<\/em> as a 2017 Rising Star<\/em>.  This award is for early career scientists, and I’m quite honored to have received it!  http:\/\/www.psychologicalscience.org\/redesign\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/2017-Rising-Stars.pdf<\/a> <\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n

In the spring of 2017, I was nominated by the College of Arts and Sciences and selected by the Provost’s office to win the Donald C. Roush Award for Teaching Excellence.  <\/em>The award was handed out at the 2017 spring convocation.  I’m very proud to have won this award, and look forward to many more courses at NMSU. <\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n

In the spring of 2016, I was awarded the Early Career Award for Exceptional Achievements in Creative Scholarly Activity<\/em> by the Sixteenth Annual University Research Council at New Mexico State University.  The award was handed out at the fall 2016 convocation ceremony.  Here I am with various other university award winners, and Provost Howard (far left) and Chancellor Carruthers (far right). <\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n

In the spring of 2015, I was nominated and selected for one of the NMSU College of Arts and Sciences “Outstanding Achievement in Scholarship” awards, which came with a $1500 contribution to my lab.  My thanks to the NMSU College of Arts and Sciences for this generous award. <\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n
