My life with my wife, Grisel, has been a series of adventures. Very shortly after we started dating, we took a cross-country road trip from El Paso to Austin, to Nashville, and then to Pittsburgh (with Penny in tow). A few months after that, we got married during a pandemic and — after a no-show judge letting us down — got married on the side of a desert mountain (in the height of summer) by a man we didn’t know who saved the day at the last moment. And a few months after that, we were making the jump back across the country to start a life together in the DC area. I can think of no better partner, and no one I’d rather go on adventures with than her.
She takes care of our fur-baby (who trusts and loves her immensely), she tolerates my weirdness (and claims to kind of like it, but I’m skeptical), and always makes sure that we spend time relaxing and enjoying one another’s company. I’m not sure what I did to deserve her, but I’m exceptionally grateful to have her in my life.
